This recipe for Grilled Bacon-Wrapped Jalapenos creates a flavor-blend that taste-buds will fight over!   The preparation is so easy and quick you’ll use it over and over as a go-to recipe for any occasion or holiday! Jalapenos are simply stuffed with a cream-cheese mixture, wrapped with bacon slices and cooked on the grill. These delectable morsels are the perfect appetizer for any occasion including birthday celebrations, Super-Bowl get-togethers, tailgate parties, holiday trays—you name it!

But let’s get started!

Prep Time: 10 minutes — Grill Time: 10 minutes — Enjoyment Time: As long as they last!

*** 6 fresh jalapeno peppers that are cut in half, lengthwise, and seeded. Discard the seeds and the veins will offer a milder sensation. It’s a good idea to use gloves when you cut and clean the peppers—especially larger numbers of these little hotties.

*** 12 slices bacon (preferably thickly-sliced to add extra flavor)

*** 8 oz. cream cheese

*** 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

*** 1 teaspoons garlic powder

*** Good-quality toothpicks

*** Grilling basket or grilling rack

*** Preheat your outdoor grill to high heat.

*** Add Cajun seasoning and garlic powder to all of cream cheese

*** Spread cream cheese mixture into all pepper halves.

*** Wrap a bacon-strip around each pepper; and tuck in bacon ends with each wrap.   Secure each tantalizing piece with a sturdy toothpick. Make sure toothpicks are not the colored variety. You can, also, microwave the bacon strips for just a couple minutes and then wrap them around the peppers. This will reduce grill time!

*** Chill the peppers for several hours or preferably over-night or you can place them in the freezer for about 15-30 minutes before they hit the grill. This will make the cheese mixture more firm while grilling.

*** Place peppers in grilling basket to keep them snugly in place. Cook until bacon is crispy. Cook time will take about 10 minutes. If you use a grill rack, you can grill 20 peppers at once, positioned upright on the grill. If you don’t have a grill basket or grill rack, cook the peppers cheese-side down first, then flip.

Recipe Variations:

1: Add a packet of dry Ranch dressing to the cream cheese instead of using the Cajun seasoning and garlic powder—just as yummy!

2: Use half cream-cheese and half shredded-shedder—ooh-lah-lah!

3: Add small chunks of lobster and chives to any of the variations, above, including the original recipe—totally scrumptious!

If you live in an area of the country where grill season is over for a few months, a great alternative is to pop these babies in the oven at 425 degrees until bacon appears done. These tasty morsels are super simple, super tasty and will become super popular! They will be a hit and so will you!
